Summary
The Hispanic Entrepreneur Initiative HEI is an agent of change in the community. We created an ecosystem where Diplomatic Corps, Corporations, other Non-Profits, Economic Development Agencies and Entrepreneurs collaborate to support the creation and operation of diverse, sustainable businesses in South Florida through business acculturation Training and Coaching programs.Challenge
Hard-working, professional, motivated immigrant entrepreneurs come to live in the USA from Latin America, and experience a H-U-G-E culture shock: to fulfill the American Dream, they need to understand how to do business here. They did not grew up here. Did not study here. They have to carve a space within the community by themselves. Not knowing how the system works; not knowing what do they need to learn beyond the language, and not understanding the cultural and procedural differences between their Motherland and the USA, seriously jeopardize their odds of supporting their livelihood and becoming a nurturing member of the community.Solution
